We have an outstanding opportunity for an ambitious individual (Assistant Site Manager) who is willing to progress upwards through the ranks of Construction Management within our company. You will be working closely with the Site Manager. An essential background as Assistant Site Manager/Supervisor is required. Experience on Residential new build schemes will be an added advantage.
*Provide assistance to the Project / Site Manger as required and where applicable.
*To organize the day to day running of the site and to supervise all trades to ensure a high quality of workmanship.
*Managing employees on site, keeping paperwork up to date including – time sheets, allocation sheets, day works, etc.
*Following all safety procedures in conjunction with the Quality Assurance Plan.
*Observing Health & Safety Regulations at all times.
*Ensuring strict adherence to all Robertson Safety procedures and fully implement the latest revision of Construction Phase Health and Safety Plan and RAMS.
*Ensure the work schedule is adhered to at all times and highlight any issues to management where critical path or contract completion is jeopardized.
*Co-ordinate and arrange the works in such a manner as to safeguard the profitability of the project.
*Ensure the project is constructed in accordance with the project specifications and drawings achieving the desired quality.
*Effectively manage and co-ordinate all site staff and labour
*Liaise with the statutory authorities, local community and other agencies affected by the project as required.
*Conduct Weekly Site Safety Meetings, Co-ordination Meetings, Internal Staff Meetings and Subcontractor Progress Meetings and any other such meetings as necessary to *Ensure the project operates efficiently.
*Produce timely Minutes of Meetings.
*Providing accurate and regular reports on progress and dates.
*Controlling additional costs for non-productive costs and prelim expenditure.
*Driving through quality at every stage of the construction process.
*Ensuring the development pass internal and external inspection processes.
*A Construction or Civil Engineering related degree
*Management or supervisory experience in the construction industry
*Valid CSCS card
*Certified in SMSTS via CITB
*Competent in Health and Safety practice
*First aid knowledge
*A student member of the CIOB, ICE or CEng.
*The ability to build and develop relationship with all internal and external
*Computer literate including use of Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Email
*Good verbal and written communication skills
*Management of Budget Compilation
*Good ****ytical & problem solving skills
*Methodical approach to tasks undertaken
*Ability to work on own initiative
